A question about a recipe: Creamy Butternut Squash Soup with Sherry

I have a question about the recipe "Creamy Butternut Squash Soup with Sherry" from merrill. Is Manzanilla an acceptable sherry for this? It's not a true dry sherry, but it's all I have on hand. Thanks! ;o)
