A question about a recipe: Rigatoni with Sausage, Peas and Fresh Ricotta

I have a question about the recipe "Rigatoni with Sausage, Peas and Fresh Ricotta" from Aliwaks. Step 6 says to use 2/3 of the sauce to saute with sausage, then pasta and peas. What are we supposed to do with the remaining 1/3 of the sauce? Does it get spooned over the servings?

Hopefully Aliwaks will give you the definitive answer but it sounds like a good idea to add it in when serving
