Too much adobo chili

I'm making chicken soup for my sick husband and I and added way too much adobo chilis! I realized after they'd been in the broth for a while. I just took them out but the flavor is still there. I don't want to add too much water. Is there anything I can do to salvage it?

If he's sick, he might actually like the extra heat. You could puree some raisins which might help tone it down a bit.
