can someone remind me of basic mashed potato proportions, including how many spuds per guest?

Remember for Thanksgiving lots of people aren't eating full "servings" of anything. So consider the volume of food before you do your proportions. :) Happy Cooking!!

2 pounds potatoes : 1 cup milk : 4 tablespoons butter : 1/3 cup heavy cream : 1 1/2 teaspoons salt -- Serves 6.
