Here's one of my own recipes: http://www.food52.com/recipes... while this calls for umbrian lentils (best in Italy), lentils de Puy are good substitute. The combination of lentils and sliced sausage symbolizes coins, and so good luck for the New Year.
I always seem to be invoking Ina Garten, but she an amazing lentil and kielbasa soup on the Food Network site.
