A question about a recipe: Macaroons


I have a question about the recipe "Macaroons" from we eat. happy.. Mine came out delicious but the bottoms spread and they weren't the cut little mounds in the picture. Any advice?

I use a tablespoon to scoop the batter onto the baking sheets and then pat them together.
