I have a question about the recipe "Penne alla Vodka" from DueSpaghetti. So do you remove the onions before you add the tomatoes?
I would think you'd take the onions out at the very end, so after the tomatoes have been added and the sauce has simmered.
Since you're putting it thru a foodmill you can choose to leave them in. Any larger bit will no go through the mill. I'd just cut them into smaller pieces and mill away.
