Pumpkin Pie with crumble crust. All the articles about "how to make X without a recipe"...great ways to make something good with what you have or like best, relax into the cooking, experiment and still get good results. Hotline, sometimes for recipes, but more often for ideas, shared cooking experience, window into how other cooks think.

The Thai Red Curry Chicken Soup!!!! I make it every month and give it to people who are ill. One woman said she felt like she won the lottery on her first taste. It is so delish you will become addicted. I add bean sprouts when serving.

MrsLarkin's Special Sauce. With poached salmon, with a crab boil, stirred into roasted fingerling potatoes, in breakfast burritos...

Peach Tart by Amanda Hesser, https://food52.com/recipes/14217-peach-tart
Very forgiving and fool-proof. Has saved many a summer dessert I’ve had to make for big groups of people, usually in wet bathing suits and starving for dinner after coming back from the beach. Who had time to make a dessert before going to the beach. You can make this in no time. Ice cream is a great accompaniment. (It also works well in other seasons: apples, plums.)

The perfect shoes to go with this dress: this is the best hack for a tart pan, in case you don’t have one, or need to double or triple the recipe for a larger group. Works very well.

This should be your go-to dinner party entree. Bonus is the rendered duck fat, which can be used for any number of delicious things, and the carcass, which should be used for homemade stock.
