Can these potato cakes be made a day ahead and then reheated? If so, how do you recommend heating them? Thanks!

Can these be frozen?

I've made them before and had leftovers. They really are much, much better right away - sort of leaden and sad, really, the next day. I wouldn't make them ahead of time on purpose.

I'm interested in hearing what others might say on this, however. ;o)
