A question about a recipe: Mung Bean and Mixed Rice Sweet Congee

I have a question about step 6 on the recipe "Mung Bean and Mixed Rice Sweet Congee" from monkeymom. It says:

"Add ΒΌ cup brown sugar and the toasted coconut. Taste and add more brown sugar to suit if you prefer."

Should the molasses be added at this time too? I don't see when to add it in.
