A question about a recipe: Absurdly Addictive Asparagus

I have a question about step 1 on the recipe "Absurdly Addictive Asparagus" from kaykay. It says:

"In a large non-stick pan, sauté pancetta, stirring frequently, over medium heat, until crisp and lightly golden. "

Do I need to remove the pancetta once it is crisp? Will it burn if I leave it in the pan? Thank you

No need to remove the pancetta -- the rest of the dish cooks quickly and the asparagus cools the pan down so the pancetta doesn't burn.
