i just tasted the batter for an orange cake and it is a mouth of baking powder. am i sunk? or will the orange zest prevail?

How much baking powder did you add, and how many cups flour?

Check to make sure you used powder and not soda. I sometimes mix them up when I'm rushing. And then I get really mad.
