Brisket for slow cooker..?

Should I purchase trimmed or untrimmed brisket for a slow cooker/Crock-pot recipe? Could I trim the untrimmed brisket on my own and save money?

Myself, I would use untrimmed as I want all the unctuous goodness I can extract. Just be sure to brown the meat before turning it over to the slow cooker. It really makes a difference.
