I finally purchased a Santoku knife (a MAC). Okay to sharpen with Chef's Choice electric sharpener?

While Peter no longer works for Food52 he still thinks up ways to make the website better.

Likely not. According to this page of their website, only 1 of the electric models is recommended for "Asian-style" knife -- the M1520.
