Can I freeze blanched kale?

I made a stuffing for another recipe yesterday and blanched a pound of kale. I have a few handfuls left, and no immediate plans for it. Can I freeze it like frozen spinach?

Yes, most definitely. That's exactly the procedure you'd follow if prepping it to freeze in the first place. It's a good idea to press as much air as possible out of the ziplock bag before freezing. And lucky you!

I can't see a reason why not. Just make sure you drain well when you defrost as with spinachv
