Can this be made as a sheet cake?

I have a question about the recipe "Faulknerian Family Spice Cake, with Caramel Icing" from ENunn.

It should work. A cake made in a large tube pan can also be made in a 9x13 pan or 2 9-inch square pans. Watch the cake while it is baking as it likely won't take the full amount of time.
