A question about a recipe: Creamy Butternut Squash Soup with Sherry

Can I use Chinese cooking sherry? I used it recently in a non Asian dish and it really added a lot to the dish. It is also what I have on hand. Thanks

Yes, just be careful if it has any extra seasonings in it, as the recipe calls for quite a lot of sherry.

Yes. Butternut squash soups are great with a variety of flavors. Just be sure to check your seasonings to make sure that the end result isn't saltier than you want.
