Honey Cake

To be honest, I am not a honey cake fan, but this recipe passed down from my mom from her mom is really good and so easy by kids can make it. I think the secret is the coffee. —Tamar Genger

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup soft honey
  • 1 cup strong coffee (it can be decaf)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup nuts and/or chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients and pour into a well greased and floured loaf or bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Allow to cool before removing from pan and serving.
