Double Vanilla Holiday Cut-Out Cookies
Author Notes: The Holidays are not complete without a day of making cut-out cookies. This is the recipe I have been using for years. A simple batter goes into the refrigerator to chill so that it can be cut into festive shapes and baked. The cookie itself is crisp and buttery with a smooth vanilla flavor. You can stop right there and enjoy them as is, but a thin layer of vanilla icing with the obligatory colorful sprinkles takes them over the top. By the way, Santa loves these. - Waverly
