Author Notes: A classic sparkling cocktail. - Erik Lombardo
- 1 ounce gin or cognac
- 1/2 ounce lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce sugar syrup (1:1 sugar:water by volume)
- 2 to 3 ounces sparkling wine
- Shake all ingredients except for sparkling wine briefly with ice, then strain into a flute or cocktail coupe. Top with sparkling wine.
