Sweet & Spicy Avocado Toast

Makes 4

  • 4 pieces pain rustique, 1/4"-1/2" in thickness
  • 1 piece avocado
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne papper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cups fresh greens
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling
  1. Cut 4 slices of pain rustique 1/4"-1/2" in thickness
  2. Drizzle the fresh cut bread with olive oil and place under the broiler for 3-5 mins or until bread reaches desired color and crunchiness
  3. Allow the toasts to cool for 2 mins
  4. Cut the avocado in half and then into fourths -allowing 1/4 avocado per toast. Slice the avocado and arrange a layer onto each toast
  5. Drizzle each piece with honey and then sprinkle with cayenne pepper, paprika, & salt to taste
  6. Top with fresh greens for added crunch & nutrition.
