Author Notes

Whether it's for Valentine's Day, an anniversary, or just a romantic dinner at home for two, this Seductive Strawberry Zabaglione (zah-habl-YOH-nay) has everything you need for a sexy dessert: red, ripe strawberries, velvety custard, and sweet Italian wine. You can substitute champagne for the Marsala wine if you think it's more romantic, but the Marsala's flavor is fuller and sexier. You can also substitute raspberries if you prefer. —Food Blogga

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 10-12 fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sweet Marsala wine
Directions
  1. Divide sliced strawberries evenly among two martini glasses. Set aside.
  2. In a large metal or glass bowl, vigorously whisk 2 large egg yolks, 2 tablespoons sugar, and 2 tablespoons sweet Marsala wine until combined. Place the bowl over a saucepan filled with 1-2 inches of simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water. Continue to whisk until doubled in volume and thick, about 4-5 minutes. Spoon over berries. Garnish with fresh mint and serve.

Hello, i just tried this recipe and sorry to report it was an epic fail! Lol Not hating just giving an imformative review if someone was planning on making this. Honestly, I think it was just missing the fact that an electric mixer is a must and I think the measurements were off, it did not double in size. It taste good though! I will try it again.

I really love zabaglione desserts. With strawberries just starting to show up at my local stores, I'm adding this to the list of things I want to cook. It looks so delicious!
