This sounds terrific. Problem is, I hate gin (I know. I consider it a character flaw but I can't seem to bring myself around on the matter.) Do you think it would be ask good with vodka?

Well, my feelings about vodka are the same as yours about gin! But I'd say go for it. If you wanted to go crazy, maybe even try it with something like a pisco. Chilean pisco is more floral than Peruvian and might have the same kind of impact on the cocktail as the juniper from the gin.
