Author Notes: Root beer floats are for kids. Beer floats are for adults only. So this St. Patrick's Day, after the kids are in bed, make some beer ice cream floats. I paired creamy coffee ice cream with Pipeline Porter, a dark, complex beer made with freshly roasted 100% Hawaiin Kona coffee. If you can't find that, then substitue another porter or stout with espresso or chocolate overtones. - Food Blogga
Serves 1
- 2-3 scoops premium coffee ice cream
- 1 12-ounce bottle porter or stout with espresso or chocolate overtones
- Fill a tall chilled glass with ice cream, and slowly pour beer over it. Enjoy!
