I lived in Providence Rhode Island for fifty years, and shopped on Federal Hill (Little Italy) with it's many italian markets. George and JoAnne Opened Al Forno in the 80's and changed the restaurant scene. Bu before JoAnne and George Providence and Cranston had
many Italian American restaurants. So even by osmosis one couldn't help but love the food of Italy and the food of the large Italian Americans population. To me what Torresi is doing in NYC is the next wave. I love it all.
