I’m a stay at home mom of four kids in rural area New Jersey, food blogger and self taught home cook. One day some time ago I found myself married and mom home all day with a baby boy. I'd always loved to eat and would cook from time to time but had never had the time or tools. Now I had a kitchen full of wedding shower gifts and all day to entertain myself and my little man. Putting our 6 month old in the exersaucer, I started cooking elaborate meals for the fun of it. So here I am! Writing this blog as a way to share the food I love, the challenges of cooking for a family. Along the way I am learning from other bloggers and improving my skills and adding to my knowledge as I go.
Now my family has grown and we've moved to the country! I am surrounded by organic farm stands, christmas tree farms and a buffalo farm and 15 minutes from the nearest grocery store. Stopping for milk and eggs at one farm and produce at the organic stand...all on the way home from picking the kids up from school has changed my thinking about food. We are slowing transforming our eating habits, buying more food locally and making as much of our food homemade as possible!
