One year, thirty five pounds, and a fabulous haircut later, I sometimes find it hard to recognize myself. I have finally reached the end of the tunnel...I have lost the unwanted pounds, but what I did not expect was how hard it is to keep it that way. Even after a year of self control and strong willed lifestyle, temptations keep lurking around the corner. I still crave a Biscotti after my 10:00AM meeting, I still need my Latte as the work day comes to a crawling end. Now that I can afford a few extra calories, my brain more often than not justifies these treats in its own twisted way. As it turns out, the light that I saw at the end of the tunnel is not a guilt-free-all-you-can-eat-buffet, but another road less traveled, that of a healthy lifestyle. After many false starts at the attempt to lose weight and now to maintain it, I have come to a conclusion that there is no getting away from our friend- Healthy Lifestyle.
The past year taught me a lot, I discovered a lot of great recipes and snacking ideas that fit my weight loss goal and taste. Somehow, since I lost my weight, these lifestyle choices I made are dwindling into fading memories. So I did the right thing and started a blog as an attempt to share ideas, information, and palate pleasing healthy recipes, but also to re-learn them, and maintain my current weight. Hope you enjoy the journey to a healthier lifestyle alongside me :)
