I have my dream career. I get to research, write, and cook -- what I've longed to do since I started reading cookbooks at the age of 10. Born in Saigon, Vietnam, I came to the U.S. at the age of 6. My family has always been curious about food and cooking. I just got the bug big time. I was suppose to be a banker but could never get my head around debits and credits.
I love traditional print as well as digital media. Cookbooks I've written include "Into the Vietnamese Kitchen," "Asian Dumplings," and "Asian Tofu." All are published by Ten Speed Press (Random House) and available as eBooks; the dumplings and tofu eBooks have enhanced editions with how-to videos and travelogues. I have a thing for ethnic grocers and produced the Asian Market Shopper iPhone app with Chronicle Books. Next up is a book on Viet sandwiches, due out in spring 2014!
