I am a pastry cook at a sunny, adorable, farm-to-table cafe in Athens, Georgia. My love for food began as a little girl, when my mother would sit me on the counter next to the stove while she was cooking, so she could keep an eye on me. My passion for cooking was not realized until 2008, when I was an art student here in Georgia. I subscribed to Gourmet magazine for its beautiful food photography and fell in love with its wonderful recipes. I began baking and cooking during every free moment, and soon dropped out of art school to attend culinary school instead. I graduated from culinary school in 2012. Now, even though I work as a pastry cook, I still bake and cook during my free time. The kitchen counter is still my favorite place to sit when I visit my mother.
