I learned to cook through "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" by Julia Child during our years in U.S. Diplomatic Corps from 1975 to 1997. I have given hundreds of parties, maybe even a thousand in the U.S., both Eastern and Western Europe, and West Africa. I have used always used the local ingredients, including the game my husband shot on diplomat hunts. I am not a trained chef, but a good cook who enjoys delicous food!
