The first time we read So Good & Tasty, we were so taken with the photos and recipes -- see these peach-pecan pancakes and broccolini and chickpea soba noodles with almond-chile dressing -- we didn't realize that we were reading a vegetarian blog. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
Jacqui, who launched the blog more than a year ago, is newly-married and adorably in love with her husband, Scott, whose absence she laments in a post accompanied by a recipe for baked donuts with lavender sugar. "I never realized how much my joy of cooking and baking revolved around not just feeding myself, but others as well," she says.
Jacqui is sweet but not sappy, and she cooks according to her whims: one day in June, it's a zesty Asian salad with snap peas and pea shoots, the next a hot tomato soup with barley. She's a skilled baker, who focuses on fruit desserts (like the nectarine honey cake pictured above) and homey quick breads (like this zucchini bread inspired by her grandmother).
For more of Jacqui and Scott's pretty, non-fussy aesthetic, be sure to check out their design blog too. If you (like us) are a fan of all things good-looking and genuine, you'll be glad you did.
