I missed the boat on this, but I would probably stack a neat pyramid of finger sandwiches (cucumber/cheddar/chive and homemade gravlax w/ horseradish sauce) on this lovely little stand.

Ohhhh, I'm too late, but I would definitely showcase a Baby Cake from Flo Braker--The Simple Art of Perfect Baking and Sweet Miniatures. The cake I make is a perfect six inch treat.

I make a small round filled cake for birthdays for friends, usually I put it on a boring piece of covered cardboard, this would be so much more elegant to serve it to them.

Adore that green milk glass! I don't see its petite size as any issue; it's probably the size of things I should be making for just two of us anyways. Pound cake has been in heavy rotation lately, and it would be a fun excuse to get a miniature decorative cake mold and make something pretty and sugar-dusted for munching.

A fresh seafood platter for two. A red lobster poised right in the center, scampi, mussels, and finally a crown of oysters perched round the brim of the stand.

I would place a sweet little apple tartlet on this beautiful Jadite cake stand and serve it to my beautiful granddaughter on her 19th birthday, today, November 2. Instead of all that luxury, she got a plain old (but deliciously yummy) apple pie (her favorite sweet) at this evening's birthday celebration

I have been a life long lover of jadeite from my very first find at a thrift shop as a teenager I was hooked, I briefly had a falter and sold most of my collection at the end of my long marriage as the idea of moving house as a single woman was daunting. Possibly one of my only regrets, I miss it all!
I would serve a salted caramel honeycrisp Apple mini cheesecake on a buttery shortbread crust embellished with a swath of cinnamon whipped cream.

What couldn't put on this? The cutting cake for our wedding next year, a small Christmas pudding (a small flaming cake on a pedestal?! Merry Christmas), a pile of cake bonbons, pillar candle for a part of centerpiece.

I would love to share it with a candle on it or place seasonal fruit on it to display. Even homemade cookies would welcome anyone!

This would be absolutely perfect for a small kransekake, a celebratory Norwegian dessert that is made with a cone shaped tower of almond cake rings. Hard to imagine...look it up online. It would look lovely for Christmas on the green pedestal with some holiday greenery.

I would use this as a cheese tray for a festive goat cheese assortment, one with olives, one with crushed nuts (your choice) and one with chopped dried cranberries. It would be a great way to make the cheese stand (lol) out even more!

With Christmas upon us, I can imagine a ton of ways to use these beautiful cake stands. You could stack up and serve mini bundt cakes, stack colorfully iced cookies to form a Christmas tree, gingerbread house, or make a homemade chocolate truffle Christmas tree. I can already see the goodness on display.

I'm a student on a gap year right now and I've been devoting many of my days to improving my baking and cooking skills. I've always envied small cake stands in the patisseries of my town but this jadeite hue really stands above the rest. Macarons would be an obvious choice- I think that rose and lavender varieties would be quite successful. Additionally I would love to showcase a small buche de noel atop this cake stand with lots of small meringue mushrooms around the edges- almost too pretty to eat (if I'm successful!) and a terrific holiday centerpiece.
Sarah

I make brittle for dessert a lot...it's nice to bring out at the end of an evening with friends. I like to stack it, and this would be ideal. Now to decide: pistachio brittle or sesame brittle with orange zest and cinnamon...hmmmm...either way, it'd look beautiful on this little gem.

Every year on July 31st, I make the love of my life an almond praline cake with mascarpone frosting that takes the better part of a full day, and that leaves us with more leftovers than we can manage (we try our best, but after a week of the rich, dense, three-tiered beast, we have to tap out). This cake stand would encourage me to finally, finally get that smaller cake pan I've been eyeing since I made the first iteration of almond praline cake five years ago.

I would serve my grandmother's famous lemon bars that everyone says are the best they have ever had on this cake stand. Not only is it the perfect size, but also its light green color would be very complimentary to my pale yellow dessert.
Also, I make my family's birthday cakes and since they have food allergies, I make up for the limited options in cake flavors by making them very decorative. For example, I recently made a flower pot cake with handmade gum paste flowers for my mom. This cake stand would allow me to serve the cakes in a much more special way.

I'd serve long times memories. There are a few special dishes my mom used when I was growing up and when I see them I'm flooded with memories of big batches of cookies in a certain Pyrex bowl or petite short bread jam prints, or Ice cream cakes served in this vintage aluminum cake pan. Those dishes are just as key in my childhood as the memories themselves. This little cake stand would be a star for nostalgias sake, I'm sure my son could attest to that for years to come.

I volunteer weekly at a food pantry and just taught myself to bake cakes at the rather ripe age of 49( I know but they have always intimidated me) for the pantry volunteers. I would use it for each volunteer birthday for an individual cake to take home. A three layer banana cake with chocolate ganache covered with a cream cheese buttercream or a 3 layer bittersweet chocolate layered with raspberry purée, chocolate ganache, and then a cream cheese buttercream are the two latest, both would look amazing!
delectable

I'd use it for my sister-in-law's wedding and use it for a delectable and golden-shimmering Croque-en-bouche I've been planning to make for so long. My husband's family is half French so that'd be just the perfect (and traditional) thing to contribute to her wedding.

I have a wonderful recipe for a walnut cake that is drizzled with a a coffee flavored simple syrup. The key is to put a small cinnamon stick and some star anise in as well so that the coffee is infused with the flavors of the spices. It is very simple and then served with freshly whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon. To die for!

I'd serve my Double Stout Chocolate Cake with Black Cherry and Port Buttercream! I'll even throw in the recipe!
DOUBLE CHOCOLATE STOUT CAKE
2 bottles stout (We use Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout)
1 shot strong espresso
2 cups (4 sticks) unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder (preferably *Dutch-process)
4 cups all-purpose flour
4 cups sugar
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 1/3 cups sour cream
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter three 8-inch round cake pans with 2-inch-high sides and line with parchment paper. Butter paper. (You could use whatever size pan you want. Just remember to adjust your cooking time.)
2. In heavy large saucepan over medium heat, bring stout, coffee and butter to a simmer. Add cocoa powder and whisk until mixture is smooth. Cool slightly.
3. Whisk flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in large bowl to blend. In a large bowl, beat eggs, vanilla and sour cream until well mixed.
4. Add stout-chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and beat until just combined, taking care the stout mixture is cool enough that it will not cook the eggs. Add flour mixture and beat on low speed until just combined. Divide batter equally among prepared pans. Bake cakes until tester inserted into center of cakes comes out clean, about 35 minutes. Transfer cakes to rack; cool 10 minutes. Turn cakes out onto rack and cool completely.
