9 Foods to Stress-Eat While Marathoning "True Detective"

July  2, 2015

Last season, True Detective gripped us: Every week, it was an hour of nail-biting and adrenaline rushes. The show is finally back, and we expect nothing less of its second season.

With the tangled, brooding plots of the new characters on our minds, this is not a time for prim, delicate snacking (though there is a time for that), nor for guiding a spoon into your mouth. This is a time for shoveling things in haphazardly, eyes glued to the screen. (We're only two episodes in and already sweating over—spoiler alert—whether Ray is alive or not!) So, focus in on the action: Here are 9 easy-to-make, easy-to-eat snacks for your next True Detective marathon.

Love the use of "marathoning" instead of "binge-watching" - a marathon makes you a hero with character and discipline, while a binge signals serious weakness of character. ;o)

Sadly, not feeling S2 as viscerally as S1 so far...but still hoping! As for binging, if you're catching up on S1, I'd say some Louisiana dishes are in order - not to mention a Sazerac: http://www.esquire.com/food-drink/drinks/recipes/a3876/sazerac-drink-recipe/

Me either! Let's hold out hope together. While drinking Sazeracs.
