8 Food Blog Links We Love

August  1, 2015

We've scoured the web for our favorite food blog posts, and now we're bringing them right to your desktop. It’s hard work, but someone has to do it.

This week: elote, quinine, granita, ceviche, and other (hard-to-pronounce) things you usually buy out—made at home.

G&T Lobster   Ceviche Corn

  • Your G&T gets a whole lot fancier with the addition of homemade quinine syrup. (Honestly Yum)
  • Make lobsters like they do Annie Hall, but with a grill instead of a pot, and hopefully with fewer escapee lobsters. You can do it! (A Better Happier St. Sebastian)
  • All you need to make ceviche is the freshest seafood you can find (and a glass of cold wine to wash it down with). (Eat In My Kitchen)

Pie Granita  Panna cotta Risotto

  • Gooseberries are only in season for a few weeks—get as many as you can, and then make this pie. (Farmette)
  • Negroni lovers: Scrape together a batch of citrusy Campari granita. (Orangette)
  • Turn your bumper crop of summer squash into a sophisticated risotto with toasty bacon and shallots. (Not Eating Out in New York)
  • We won't tell if you eat this labneh panna cotta with broiled figs for breakfast as well as for dessert (there's yogurt in there, right?). (A Brown Table)
