What to Make When You Can't Decide Between Cookies and Brownies

August 27, 2015

Inspired by conversations on the Food52 Hotline, we're sharing tips and tricks that make navigating all of our kitchens easier and more fun.

This week, KatieQ makes a quick two-layer brownie (one cookie dough layer, one brownie layer) so you just don't have to choose.

We're all about recipes that have a high output—taste! looks! creativity!—without needing a lot of planning, ingredients, or time, and we have a major soft spot for one- or two-bowl baking projects (Have you heard? We're even writing a book about these things!). This week, KatieQ must have read our minds: She's thrown together a fudgy brownie topped with creamy (egg-free) chocolate chip cookie dough to create a a sweet, swoony dessert that is in fact pretty easy to make.

See what other Food52 readers are saying.
