Who is your culinary hero?

My Nonna and Marcella Hazan.

Describe a food memory that has influenced the way you cook or think about food.

It was always simple food made with love that had the biggest impression on me. The smell of my Nonna's sauce and meatballs cooking on Sundays. My favorite part was dipping bread in the sauce. Also, making homemade sausage with my mother.

What's your favorite recipe from a cookbook?

Marcella Hazan's Bolognese Sauce. Absolute perfection!
