The recipe calls for 8 strips of bacon and 8 breast halves. Then says to wrap 2 strips of bacon around each piece of chicken. That's 16 strips of bacon.

Actually guys I was surprised to find this does exist on other sights, recipe in full. Watch out what you say. You don't want to insult any body!

Sorry, I saw this pop up on home page of Food52 on April 4 so was not thinking of April Fool's. So I was immediately kind of irked by it, because it wasn't that clear that this was not a real recipe; one has to see many recipe videos I guess to get the joke. So I hope the site does some real recipes in the future that concentrate on the recipes and not cuteness/humor. Sorry to be a wet blanket. I love love love what you all, do but maybe stretching too thin w/ things like this.

Kristen, you're awesome and the video is the best I've seen so far - humour, realistic, simple. Purely genius, I loved it. And now we all want more :).

Not sure if I would ever attempt this but this video is adorable! Happy creating and feasting in the nest.

April Fool's aside, I have to chime in with the other folks commenting that videos with no text accompanying it drives me up the wall. It takes decidedly less time to skim a recipe than to sit through a video. Assuming I like what I see in the video enough to want to make it, no accompanying text means I have to re-watch the video and take notes, which makes me throw the towel in and go look for something old-fashioned (i.e. in print) to make instead. Cute video, but please let it just be for entertainment, not a new delivery method for recipes.

Cute video, but I like to download the recipes - written out. Please don't stop doing that!

So, I don't want to complain. I love this site. One of my faves. However, unless I missed something....well, I was trying to find an actual recipe because I save them in my own Word recipe file. So, you asked about video feedback. I really don't pay any attention to the videos. Don't need them. Just want recipe. However, if you do the video, could you include the recipe as well? On this one, it took me a while to find a complete recipe. I wing it all the time, but sometimes I need some actual facts when I get off track. Hence, nice to have basic information in my recipe file. Thanks for everything.

There are all manner of cues in the video that indicate it's an April Fool joke, but the underlying question about the video is not. I agree with HDiffenbaugh that this is the wave of the future, and I don't like it!

The guac is perfect. Just eat it with pounded chicken breast stuffed jalafuego peppers wrapped in bacon. Too much oil involved in that extra step. Room temp guacamole is the best.

"some guacamole may fall out don't even worry about that it's going to be fiiiine"
"bake it for 10 minutes -- there's nothing to look for here; it'll just be done"

Hilarious - right up there with "Disco Fries!" Kristen, you are fabulous in this! Please tell me the complaints regarding the need for a text version of this recipe are also April Fool's jokes...come on, people, look at your calendars - and the bold-faced type above the video header. ;-)
P.S. You didn't fool any of your regular followers: we all know, at Food52, avocados are for toast and toast only!

OMG I'm dying. This is for sure the best cooking video ever made. It's hard to pick a favorite moment, truly, but you sticking your head into the shot--"Oh, hi! I'm Kristen!" + your crazy-eyed smile as you pull chicken out of a porcelain chicken definitely tops the list. I'm literally laughing out loud. Best worst recipe. What are the green bananas for? I'm not even going to worry about it.

Please have a text version so that we can quickly scan thru and see if need to watch entire video -- I *LIKE* having a video available, but 1st would like to SEE the recipie. thanks much!

I concur: if legally possible, please post the recipe under your video in the future. I followed the recipe link to Buzzfeed and found more insults and f-bombs than chicken bombs in the comments; very few intelligent questions or suggestions regarding the recipe. (I never watch a video unless I have a technical question from less than clear recipe directions.)

I am concerned about the internal temp. The guac is cross contaminated by the chicken. Sous vide then browning may be the way to go or just stuff with cheese, bake it and top it with the guacamole. Also, only use Haas avocados for cooking. The Florida avocados get bitter when heated. https://cre8ov.com for more cooking tips.

I'll have to try this version...Reminds me of a yummy recipe I used to make a lot, thanks to an old friend: artichoke stuffed chicken breasts wrapped in prosciutto. You could sub out the bacon for prosciutto, even sub out the guac for parmessan/artichoke/mayo mix

Recipes broken down into a video format is one of the new movements online. My social media feeds are full of them. I don't mind it- in fact sometimes I think it breaks down the complication or lack of clarity that can come from reading the recipe. I know that many people still enjoying being able to read it for themselves, as we see in this instance, but this is definitely a format we will only continue to see more of.

Skimming a recipe takes two seconds, watching a video takes as long as you decide to monopolize my attention. Checking out the text lets us know if we want to explore further. I always skip recipes that don't include a text version. So sadly, despite your cute and impassioned intro, this genius bomb recipe will never cross my oven door.

I'd rather read about it than have to sit and watch. Sorry, but no - just give me the print version.

It would be nice to have the recipe along with the video. I'm more of a recipe reader, and then if I don't follow something, I'll check any available photos or video.

Cute but a little sloppy. And I'd be extra careful about some cross contamination going on there. ?

totally adorable and short and quick. but I do like to read a recipe, agree with fricky1 that skimming a recipe is important for cooks. not sure about even lukewarm avocado. what do I do if I do not eat bacon?

I do eat turkey bacon. So I was going to try that. I'm guessing if one eats chicken they eat turkey as well.

I don't like videos. I can't watch them as quickly as I can skim a recipe, and if I decide it's worth keeping, I can't print them and stick them in my recipe holder for later use. They have a place for instructional purposes, but in general, NO.

Wonderful! I missed the fact that you (Kristen) made this video so I watched the Buzzfeed first. As I came back here to try and understand this math equation: 4 chicken breasts/2 = 4, I saw your delightful video. Now I am feeling much better and no longer care about the "funny" math.

Kristen!!! You're the cutest. Also "backup chicken and salmonella consulting by Josh Cohen". Loved this!
