I love oat milk. Most coffee shops near me don't have it, but one does, and it's my favorite way to have a coffee. I've also found coconut milk lattes to be my favorite non dairy latte.

Do the coffee mate/international delight creamers count? I cut each quart with non-dairy creamer otherwise they are too sweet....

Homemade Almond Milk with a tiny splash of pure maple syrup in a Iced Coffee is pretty close to perfection.

I just discovered Ripple pea milk, it's great! No sugar/carbs + good fats and 8g of protein per cup. Homemade cashew is a close second.

Ripple Pea Milk is my fave in coffee if I really need something in it. Also my first choice for making dairy-free ice cream. It's creamy but doesn't overwhelm with it's own flavor the way soy, cashew and almond do (in my opinion), and I can actually find it at my grocery store.

Hemp milk and hazelnut milk are the ones I like. Haven't tried cashew milk. From the comments your test was much too limited. Hope you try again with a broader range.

My preference in non-dairy milks for nearly all purposes is cashew, preferably homemade. But since Starbucks hasn't gotten there yet, almond milk is acceptable.

Straight up black. I found any and all of the non-dairy milk alternatives make the coffee taste over-roasted. I spend good money on good quality coffee, and would much rather allow its full flavor profile to shine through.
On the rare occasion I want to add something creamy to my coffee, I will reach for either Califa brand coconut/almond creamers, or straight for full-fat canned coconut milk.

Definitely oat milk. It adds a really nice nuttiness to the coffee, which I much prefer over the sweetness that dairy milk adds.

CANNED COCONUT MILK. I know that isn't an option that would be found at a a coffee shop but at home it is so worth it. Takes a bit of stirring for cold coffee but it adds so much richness and the perfect hint of coconut flavor.

Iced coffee i like with almond milk.
Hot coffee at home i microwave unsweetened vanilla almond milk in my mug and then add my hot coffee to the hot almond milk.
At coffee shops with Califa barista blend almond milk for hot coffee i will get that, otherwise for hot coffee i ask for a little bit of hot soy milk (fyi the almond milk now served at starbucks is really very horrible tasting for some reason!)

Cashew milk is my favorite! When I have time to make my own, I put a little bit of cinnamon in my cashew milk. It goes great with fruitier tasting South and Central American coffees.

I love Forager's unsweetened cashew milk. There's no additives and weird ingredients in it.

Califia farms makes a great tasting unsweetened almond Coconut milk, but I so do love their Vanilla Coconut almond creamer even more! Tastes like melted ice cream and really flavors coffee deliciously!

Unsweetened almond milk! Perfect for milk foam after a bit in the microwave and a good shake. It also adds a slight hazelnut-esque taste to the coffee which is great!

Oatly Barista foamable. The best replacement for milk I've found hands down. Similar texture, froths beautifully and no milk taste!

I drink unsweetened almond milk with mine, either with or without a little half and half - I have no problems with dairy, but almond milk is low in calories, doesn't intrude too much on the coffee's flavor, and adds a light nuttiness that I like.
But if I'm getting an espresso based drink, I like to get soy milk...even though I'm not a fan of sugar in my coffee (and it seems coffee shops only have sweetened soy milk), I looooove the way soy milk complements the nuttiness of the espresso.

I'm definitely partial to cashew and macadamia nut milks. They add more of a creamy texture without being cloying, and have their own interesting, toasty flavors.

Califa Farms almond milk is perfect! It is sweetened with vanilla bean and doesn't separate!
