Hi, latoscana
Are you in Seattle? I thought you were in Austin. I spend time there because of my daughter in San Antonio. Thank you for your wonderful comments.

I am in Austin but my daughter just graduated from Evergreen in Olympia so we were enjoying the marvelously chilly weather in Seattle. A great food town!

It is chilly and we do have great cloud formations here - and we do have great food. The sun is a missing this year. Growth of produce is late and yet everything here is so abundant that what would be weeds in most part of the US - nettles and purslane - are tasty and glorious.
I was born in Denver and always wanted to move to Seattle. And so did. My daughter was born in Seattle and wanted to move to Texas. And so did.
And here we are - the amazing relationships of food52!

1. Congratulations! You deserve it!
2. PNW week on food52, with you and hardlikearmour. And look to the right, in the box for "From Our Shop"--it's Salumi, which I think would be a fine gathering spot for the meet-up.
3. It's not just daughters: Sons also have a way of making

Just told my daughter about the blender and she wants to confiscate it for her kitchen. Won't happen. Rumor has it, boulangere, we are having a northwest meet-up in the fall? If so, sign me up.

boulangere, you should start compiling a NW e-mail list for the tentative get together.
