Weeknight Cooking

Last Chance to Order Our Plated x Food52 Meal Kits

A couple weeks ago, we told you all about our latest strategy to simplify weeknight cooking: For the party-planning, gift-shopping month of December, we’re teaming up with Plated to turn some of our favorite Food52 recipes into meal kits.

Why? Because we believe that even the busiest of weeknights deserve a homemade dinner—and, ahem, dessert. Plus, cooking and baking just happen to be our go-to way to unwind. (You too?) Plated takes care of the grocery shopping (goodbye, long checkout lines!) and sends all the individually packaged ingredients right to your door in an insulated box (read: you don’t need to be home to unpack it right away). Which means all you have to do is scroll through the menu and pick the recipe and how many you want it to serve.

By when? you wonder. Glad you asked. Plated creates its seasonal menus week by week, so you have up to 1 week in advance to order each. Which means you have until Monday, Dec. 17 to order the last week of Food52-curated recipes. Which, if we do say so ourselves, are looking preeeeeetty darn good:

Broccoli Pesto Penne

Yep, you can make pesto with broccoli. We love this vegetable-forward take for colder months when basil isn’t in season. Fresh mozzarella and smoked salt don’t hurt either.

Peanut Butter Cookies With Sea Salt

This recipe hails from our co-founder Merrill Stubbs’ mom—so you know it’s going to be good. Like, really good. Brown sugar keeps things cozy and the crunchy salt on top makes everything pop.

Marshmallow Brownies

Just as decadent and delightful as they sound. Like the peanut butter cookies, these are a family recipe—here, from Food52 contributor Sarah Jampel’s Grandma Joan. To keep things extra-chocolatey (always a good idea), there’s even a fudgy frosting on top.

So what’ll it be? We can’t wait to see what you make!

Hi. Great idea. Already a Plated subscriber and can't wait! Is this only for December or will the partnership continue into next year?
