5 Craveable Chrissy Teigen Recipes I'll Make Forever & Ever

From French toast casserole to crispy rice salad.

August 21, 2019

I don't think it's an overstatement to call Chrissy Teigen—cookbook author, Twitter whiz, television host, supermodel, the list goes on—a modern-day hero.

Why? She's smart and funny, refreshingly honest, and as relatable as a celebrity can possibly be. Case in point: a May 2019 Tweet in which she wrote, "I can be totally full but can’t sleep without my pre bed sandwich." (I can relate. Hard.) Plus, she asks some of life's most important questions, like: "Can you legally serve free wine at the library?"

But mostly because she's handed me some of my most-loved recipes, each more craveable (yeah, that's a word) than the next. From a luscious French toast casserole sprinkled with buttery-crisp Frosted Flakes to a one-skillet crispy chicken drizzled in creamy lemon pan sauce, here are the five Chrissy Teigen recipes I make over and over and over again. Thanks for everything, girl.

My 5 Go-To Chrissy Teigen Recipes

1. Parmesan Minestrone with Chili Mayo Toasts

This hearty, Parmesan minestrone soup is one of the first things I make when the weather turns chilly. It's like the classic bean and pasta-packed slurper but comes with a Chrissy twist: toasted crusty bread spread with a spicy chili mayo for dunking in the soup (or nibbling on the side).

2. Crispy-Skinned Chicken With Lemon-Rosemary Pan Sauce

It should come as no surprise that Chrissy pulls off the impossible with this weeknight-friendly skillet dinner. Here she makes plain old chicken breasts irresistibly flavorful and crispy with herbs, garlic, red chili flakes, broth, lemon, and a splash of heavy cream.

3. Everything Bagel Cream Cheese Breakfast Bake

A bagel with cream cheese will no longer cut it at breakfast once you've tried making this loaded-up everything bagel breakfast bake, complete with all that you'd ever want to eat for the first meal of the day (ie. sausage, eggs, and lot of cheese).

When I have people staying over, I prep this baby the night before (if you don't let it soak, this happens) and just pop it in the oven the next morning to feed the crew.

4. Crispy Rice Salad With Fried Eggs

The only way to get me excited about salad is to fill said salad with peanuts, herbs, ginger, and crisped-up rice (leftover rice from the night before work best here). Oh, and don't forget the perfectly fried egg on top, which Chrissy says, "makes everything better."

5. French Toast Casserole With Salted Frosted Flakes

Another breakfast winner, this casserole combines two of my favorite things—French toast and crispy Frosted Flakes, in the best possible way. Imagine a stack of custardy French toast (with a splash of rum, yay) sprinkled with butter-coated cereal. Yeah, heaven.

We make the veggie couscous from her second cookbook all the time. Easy, adaptable, delicious. Love her.

She's no hero and some of those recipes are gag worthy.

Your green eyes are showing. If you can’t say anything nice . . .

Her two cookbooks are fantastic! Some recipes sound odd, but all turn out great that I've made, including the frosted flake french toast bake. And I am not a big fan usually of celebrity cookbooks, surprised myself!

The tortilla soup is one of the best, and has an amazing health+taste mix, esp if not frying tortillas. The green beans with a little less water are also a usual go-to.
