Some of you had the pleasure of enjoying the delicious offerings of the girl & the fig at our Sonoma, CA book event last month, and now everyone can recreate the recipes at home!
Lucky for us, a new book by proprietor Sondra Bernstein is now available Plats du Jour, the girl & the fig’s Journey Through the Seasons in Wine County. Sondra and her partner, Executive Chef John Toulze, share their love of seasonal French country cooking with over 100 recipes and wine pairings. Based on the “Plats du Jour” concept at the girl & the fig (weekly rotating three-course menus), these are restaurant recipes that have been tailored for the home cook with easy ingredient substitutions, wine pairings and cheese platter suggestions. Perfect for us!
As a sneak peek, Sondra has shared two of her favorite recipes with us here. We think they both would be a welcome addition to any holiday celebration.
