by:
December 11, 2009

Some of you may have counted up the votes on your own, but now the "official" results are in! The winner of the Thanksgiving Photo Challenge -- and a gorgeous food52 tote bag, courtesy of LL Bean (pictured below)-- is...

eatboutique!

Shop the Story

Congratulations to her, and thanks to all who shared their Thanksgiving photos and memories with us!

After looking through all of the great entries for the Thanksgiving Slide Show Contest, we simply couldn't narrow the submissions to three. So, we're giving you five instead! Have a look through the photos -- which are wonderfully mouthwatering and often moving -- and vote for the slideshow you think should win a food52 tote by writing your choice in the comments section below. You have until next Thursday, 12/10 at noon EST, when we'll tally up the votes and then announce the winner the following morning.

Good luck to all of the contenders!

I vote for The Barn. For me, that's what Thanksgiving is all about - food and family and friends. What a beautiful setting.

Carriewiththree December 8, 2009
Ahhh, such a dream to do this. I love that you planned this outing and celebrated together in such a beautiful and intimate way. What better way to give thanks. My vote goes to AntoniaJames

EmilyNunn December 8, 2009
Antonia James! Very special.

Veronica December 7, 2009
This is NOT easy--they're all terrific! While Eatboutique is gorgeous and "magazine ready", I love The Barn in black & white and the story the photos tell. Voting for csheago.

sashygirl December 6, 2009
Eatboutique, purely on the strength of that smoked turkey! But all the contestants are great.

QueenOfGreen December 6, 2009
csheago - beautiful photos!

earthharvestfarm December 6, 2009
my vote is for gerriH: love the close ups of the food. and i appreciate the vegetarian gravy. can you post the recipe?

TheWimpyVegetarian December 6, 2009
They are all so great! But I'm going with Antonia James. At least partly because I live at the base of Mt Tam that she talks about and it made me want to spend Thanksgiving the way she did. In a simple way in nature, feeling thankful. Really nice.

David A. December 6, 2009
great selection. i think gerri hernandez really did the best shoot here. great photos!

melissav December 6, 2009

Love the little story.
You can feel the passion of cooking, and having people, the display look's great.
It' s the kind of table i would love to seat around...

AntoniaJames December 5, 2009
Thank you. Gratitude feeds the soul and spirit, on any occasion.

dymnyno December 5, 2009
AntoniaJames...she must live in my back yard. My family also does a hike and eat day. We spend the morning hiking around Point Reyes National Seashore, and a quick hike up Black Mountain. Then home to fire and food and wine, of course.

AntoniaJames December 5, 2009
Well, not quite in your backyard, but close enough! I'm down in the East Bay, just south of Berkeley. We should have a potluck after the New Year for any Food52 people who live in or are visiting the Bay Area. My place is centrally located and available! Contact me privately, anyone who is interested.

TheWimpyVegetarian December 6, 2009

Jennifer A. December 5, 2009
Very tough choice! They are all lovely, but when I saw the second photo is csheago's series I was sold (and immediately wanted to be there in that barn kitchen helping out!)

Wow, such great photos - I'm not surprised you had trouble choosing only 3! These are all lovely snapshots of the holiday, but as we are a family of two, AntoniaJames' intimate Thanksgiving picnic really resonated with me. She gets my vote.
