I was so sad when Staubitz stopped carrying their Nostrano salame, but I'm excited that you guys are promoting the Gentile which is quite delicious!

Haven't had the Nostrano -- will have to try it.

I have always really liked the Nostrano too and didn't know Staubitz had discontinued it! I think you may still be able to get it at Bierkraft and Blue Apron in Park Slope.

I buy this salumi all the time...Dean and Deluca carries it as well as a lot of little markets around here...Paul Bertolli (once of Chez Panisse) is the man! He has so many wonderful salumi.

That is great to know about new comers (or newer) to the salumi world We don't have Lupa, but we feel lucky to have Mario's dad in the pacific north west with his wonderful Salumi shop, which one of my favorite places in Seattle. Don't go to Europe come here...but next time when I am in SF I'll definitely check Bertolli's.

My husband and I polished off 1/4 lb. of Armandino's Mole Salumi over the course of the weekend - we are so lucky that our favorite artisan cheese shop here in Providence stocks it. Fra' Mani is an excellent product as well - I particularly love their Toscano.

Armandino is a very, very nice man. I'm happy to say that I've actually met him.
