Have you ever planted a garden with all your favorite vegetables -- not to mention your hopes and dreams -- and watched it all get choked with weeds? That's what happened to Faith Durand (you know her from her great work at The Kitchn) in this essay from Leite's Culinaria. Burdock, which is invasive and very hard to fully root out once it's set in, takes over her brand-new garden at her home in Ohio.
