Each week in Kickstarter Love, Feed52 will feature a Kickstarter project that focuses on food and the community. Basically, it’s about cool people doing cool things with food. This week, honey needs to buzz nationwide.

Bees are all the buzz at Aseda Wild Honey, a Kickstarter project raising funds to get its sweet stuff on the shelves of whole food markets in every state.

Founder Anthony Baron Kirk of Salt Lake City, Utah, and the people of the Mole region in Ghana, Africa, want to share this wild honey from sea to shining sea. They also want to promote the robust industry that honey harvesting has established for the region, which prevents rural folk from fleeing to urban areas in search of jobs.

Call this a Kickstarter for an unbeatable trifecta: it's honey that is good for you, good for the environment, and good for international economic development.

My two (current) favorite foods start with the letter D: doughnuts, and dumplings. If a dish has bacon in it, I will most likely eat it. If I could marry honey butter, I would.
