9 Classy Cocktails -- Shaken, Not Stirred

August  9, 2013

Today, we're taking a cue from Bond, James Bond, and making our drinks shaken, not stirred. Because if we've learned one thing from the international man of mystery, it's not how to drive or how women should be treated (thank goodness), but how to order our alcohol.

Since we can't pull off his fabulously foreign accent, we're avoiding embarrassment and making our own cocktails at home. These 9 recipes are perfect for sharing with friends at your own Bond-style cocktail party or for relaxing after a long day of espionage.

I used to work at Food52. I'm probably the person who picked all of the cookie dough out of the cookie dough ice cream.

Bond's drink was a Vesper, invented in the book Casino Royale: Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Lillet. Shaken and served with a slice of lemon peel.
