Reese's Peanut Butter cups. Always and forever. Although I do always buy the trick or treaters a bag of the willy wonka mix...and eat all the laffy taffy myself!

Snickers - my sister and I used to hide ours and try to outdo each other to be the last one to have a Snickers Bar left from our Halloween loot

How can this be a question? Snickers of course. Hand down. Satisfying, chewy, nutty & the exact right amount of salt.

Much to Dr. Ashley Flower's dismay (or delight? She does have all those pesky school loans to pay back...) Chewy candy is the best! Star Burst, Laffy Taffy, even Bit O' Honey...all tooth destroying delights!

Peanut butter cups... any day. If I have some spare time, I love making homemade peppermint patties to give out to friends and family!

Three Musketeers or Junior Mints. The fun size pkg is just right for a snack!

My favorite? Peanut butter and chocolate anything: Reese's Cups, Tagalongs, Peanut Butter Twix... all of 'em.

Clark Bars by far. Fabulous by itself or mixed in to ice cream, brownies and muffins. It is also very fall like in color.

I suppose candy corn, although my absolute favorite fall treat is a homemade caramel apple.

In school I took a food anthropology class, I spent the whole quarter waiting for the segment on candy! This is such a cool interview and topic.
I look for anything with a puckered face on the package. The more sour the better!

Well written, with many helpful insights. Thank you! My preferred Halloween candy? Almond Joy, now. As a child, I adored dark Chunkies with raisins. ;o)

Halwa! It's something which I haven't found in America yet, but where I'm from, it's a wildly popular candy flavored with saffron, cardamom, and rose water. Haven't had it for years, either.... Argh! Now I'm craving it! :-(

I love caramel made from scratch - but Candy Corn is my all time favorite
