This post came just in time! Yesterday I made my first sorbet (inspired by one of Salt & Straw's best) and plan to make many more, inspiring emphasis on the bakeless desserts!!

Cicely, this sounds great!! Also, get more Le Creuset, I just inherited several pieces and am able to do more dishes at once that need a good, heavy pot.

Best community pick review. It was a book I thought I had zero interest in, and though I might not buy it, you definitely piqued my interest. Good writing, too.

Great review! We made some of the ice-box cakes last summer and loved them (from The Kitchn), but I never got around to looking at the entire book. You've revived my determination to get a copy! Thanks for the details about the puddings, especially.

As usual, I borrowed this book from the library last month and it's so fascinating. It seems to tickle that part of me that loves all things gelatin and puddings. There were a lot of recipes I wanted to make, but didn't have time for. So it's going on the wishlist.

You have me convinced - I wouldn't normally consider an all-desserts cookbook but I think this will be the exception!!!
