Thank you, I did write what I was making, General Chicken, but I guess it got cut off in the question box. Thank you, I ended up using red pepper flakes, about a teaspoon per times I made the recipe.

Chili powder will contain other herbs and spices such as cumin. As Kristy says, it will depend on what you are making. If you want the chili flavor but not the heat, I would substitute about 1 teaspoon of a good quality paprika. If you want it spicier, I would add pinches of cayenne to the paprika until you get the heat you like.

Without knowing what you are making, it's a little hard to tell. Maybe start with a teaspoon and add to taste. Keep in mind that chili powder is mild, so if you want more heat think about using some cayenne or crushed red chili flakes.
